A qualified oenologist, Lucy’s career spans winemaking across Australia, California, France, and the UK, as well as international wine buying, blending, and product development in key wine regions. She has managed wine businesses, including mergers and acquisitions, across Australia and New Zealand. With a rare blend of commercial, financial, and technical expertise, Lucy’s extensive global network and deep understanding of both wine and its consumers are unparalleled. While she excels in international buying for Vintellect, she also manages the admin side of the business, albeit reluctantly.

Alex Hudak began his wine journey in Perth, working part-time at a premium independent store specializing in imported wines, notably French and German selections. This sparked his passion for fine wines, laying the foundation for his career. He later managed a hotel, overseeing a comprehensive wine program that featured a diverse range of Australian and imported wines, solidifying his expertise. Alex continued to foster his commitment to quality while working with smaller venues and contributing to establishing a distribution arm in retail. This expanded his involvement in the wholesale sector, where he collaborated with respected wine wholesalers, focusing on imported varieties. Through the Master of Wine program, Alex met Lucy, and their shared vision led to the creation of Vintellect. Combining Lucy's extensive UK wine trade experience with their mutual passion, Vintellect now proudly represents a meticulously curated selection of European and Australian wines, renowned for their exceptional quality and character in the Australian market.
