Ahrweiler Rosenthal

Ahrweiler Rosenthal

The Rosenthal Pinot Noir is a single-vineyard wine, which means that the grapes come from the best plots of the site Ahrweiler Rosenthal, which extends above the roofs of the old town of Ahrweiler and under the picturesque winemaker‘s chapel. Due to the south orientation and the widening valley, our vineyards in this showcase location in Ahrweiler benefit from the sun from early to late. The Rosenthal Pinot Noir is a fragrant, silky Pinot Noir with an expressive floral and fruit aroma.

Soil: Sandstone weathered soils with quartzite inclusions, greywacke

Vineyard: ecological cultivation of the vineyards, focus on manual work on the steep slopes, 100% hand harvesting

Vinification: traditionally spontaneously fermented, not enriched, aging in barrels made of local oak, bottled gently and unfined

Alcohol: 11.5%vol
