Dernauer Hardtberg
Dernauer Hardtberg
The Hardtberg Pinot Noir is a single-vineyard wine, which means that the grapes come from the best two upper plots of the site Dernauer Hardtberg, which is located directly behind our winery. Due to the high altitude, the climate is rather cool and due to the high greywacke content in the soil, the Hardtberg Pinot Noir also has a cooler and more robust taste. A fragrant, mineral wine with a silky structure and tart freshness that needs some time to open up and develop its aromas of dark berries and spices.
Soil: slate, greywacke, clay
Vineyard: ecological cultivation of the vineyards, focus on manual work on the steep slopes, 100% hand harvesting
Vinification: traditionally spontaneously fermented, not enriched, aging in barrels made of local oak, bottled gently and unfined
Alcohol: 11.5%vol
