Dernauer Pfarrwingert

Dernauer Pfarrwingert

The Pfarwingert Spätburgunder is a single-vineyard wine, which means that the grapes come from the best plots of the site Dernauer Pfarrwingert, one of the best locations in Dernau and the Ahr Valley. Its consistently favorable slope, south-facing orientation combined with stony, weathered soils make this location ideal for ripening excellent Pinot Noir. The Dernauer Pfarrwingert Pinot Noir is silky and cool with a fine saltiness and intense blackberry and raspberry aromas.

Soil: Greywacke & weathered slate soils with slate content

Vineyard: ecological cultivation of the vineyards, focus on manual work on the steep slopes, 100% hand harvesting

Vinification: traditionally spontaneously fermented, not enriched, aging in barrels made of local oak, bottled gently and unfined

Alcohol: 11.5%vol
