Handwerk Spätburgunder

Handwerk Spätburgunder

Our estate wines are the foundation of our collection. We only use grapes from the younger vines along the Ahr Valley from our own vineyards. The name “Handwerk” (German for „craft“) is of course representative of the intensive manual work on the steep slopes and therefore also one of the most important reasons for the quality of our wines. The Handwerk Pinot Noir is characterized by its delicate lightness, a lively acid structure and expressive fruit aromas of cherry and red currant. Fresh, pure and with a grippy structure, our estate wine is a Pinot Noir with a lot of charm, which we like best when slightly chilled.

Soil: sandstone weathered soils, loess-clay, greywacke, slate

Vineyard: ecological cultivation, focus on manual work on the steep slopes, 100% hand harvesting

Vinification: traditionally fermented spontaneously, not enriched, then bottled gently and unfined.

Alcohol: 11%vol
