Marienthaler Trotzenberg
Marienthaler Trotzenberg
The Trotzenberg Spätburgunder is a single-vineyard wine, which means that the grapes come from the best plots of the site Marienthaler Trotzenberg, which extends in an arc around the town center of Marienthal. It is oriented south to southwest towards a loop of the Ahr. Some of the vineyard slopes are extremely steep. Although the location is one of the lesser known on the Ahr, it is one of the best. Due to its exposure, it is not only warm, but the forest above also allows cool air to flow into the vineyards at night, which promotes long ripening on the vine and the freshness and complexity of the wines. The Trotzenberg Pinot Noir has a complex fruit aroma and elegance with pronounced minerality and a fine saltiness.
