Tasting Note
Deep and brilliant purple garnet-red. The nose is complex and powerful, layering red fruits with hints of undergrowth and spice. The palate is rich and spicy, brimming with ripe fruit, and strikes a perfect balance between elegance and power.
The term Les Cras comes from the word craie (lime). This terroir is located near Volnay on gently sloping ground, with soil rich in limestone and stones. During vinification, this wine undergoes a final fermentation phase at a warm temperature. This method produces a generous wine that blends elegance and power.
