Santenay Comme-Dessus

The white Santenay from our domain is made in the “lieu-dit” “Les Commes Dessus”, near Santenay Beauregard and Santenay Commes, in the eastern part of Santenay, just 500 metres from Chassagne-Montrachet. Facing southeast, the area is ideal for producing exceptional Chardonnay wines.

Grape variety: Exclusively 25-year-old Chardonnay vines

Surface area: 0.60 ha

Terroir: Stony clay-limestone soil

Working method: Vines sown with grass - leaves thinned out

Maturing: 8 months in French oak barrels

Production: 2,000 bottles/year

Dress: Pale gold with lemon flashes

Nose: Honey bouquet with hints of toasted bread and exotic fruits

Mouth: Very round with a light touch of vanilla. Perfectly well-balanced thanks to the characteristic richness of Santenay wines and a light acidity
