Roger et Didier Raimbault

Domaine Roger et Didier Raimbault, nestled in the picturesque Sancerre appellation of France’s Loire Valley, represents ten generations of winemaking tradition.

Situated in Verdigny, with vineyards extending across 17.5 hectares of steep, sloping hillsides.

The Domaine benefits from two distinct terroirs: the limestone-rich Caillottes, which imparts freshness and delicate orchard fruit flavours, and the clay-limestone Terres Blanches, known for adding body, minerality, and a softer acidity to the wines. The Raimbault family practices sustainable viticulture (Lutte raisonnée), respecting the balance between modern techniques and traditional methods. Meticulous soil management, precise pruning, and selective harvesting ensure that the vines thrive and that each parcel's character is fully expressed. Their multi-level underground cellar, built in 2005, allows for gentle grape handling and temperature-controlled vinification, preserving the quality and integrity of the fruit.

The wines of Domaine Roger et Didier Raimbault reflect the diverse terroir of Sancerre, offering complexity, finesse, and authenticity.

Their Sauvignon Blanc-based Sancerre whites combine the crisp vibrancy of Caillottes soils with the structured minerality of Terres Blanches, resulting in balanced and expressive wines that highlight orchard fruit, citrus, and subtle flinty notes. The estate also produces Pinot Noir-based reds and rosés, celebrated for their smooth, aromatic profiles. With a deep commitment to artisanal winemaking and a focus on sustainability, the Raimbault family creates wines that honour their rich heritage while showcasing the exceptional terroirs of Sancerre.
